After Show Report Histologica 2024

In 2024, it was once again a great pleasure for us to be represented at Histologica.

And in 2024, too, the Slee Ergotec worktable also rocked the show!

The interest was great. Various laboratories came to our booth repeatedly to present the Ergotec worktable to their colleagues! Everyone had to move the table up and down, marvel at the water bath, the cooling plate and the computer workstation. Even outside the door, people were talking about Ergotec, which brought numerous additional visitors to the stand. Ergonomics in connection with occupational safety was talk of the town.

Together with the CUT 6062, the fully automatic rotary microtome and the Aquatec transfer system, the Ergotec is already half a laboratory facility.

The increase in visitor numbers could not only be noticed at our booth, but also in nominal terms:

“We welcomed 331 participants from 5 countries this year (Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Austria and the UK).

36 exhibitors (Germany, China and Hong Kong) made our exhibition a diverse place of exchange.” (Source: Histologica)

“Cryo sectioning vs. frozen sectioning
Two techniques that complement each other
Sectioning, mounting, troubleshooting”

The workshop led by Ute Neubacher and Dr. Thu Huong Hoang, Department of Neurophysiology, Ruhr University Bochum, was fully booked again this year. It began with a presentation comparing the MNT high-end cryostat with the manual sliding microtome Cuttec S in combination with the MTR quick-freezing unit, meeting the great interest in the practical part. The demand for tips and tricks was high and the participants were keen to engage in lively expert discussions.

The prepared sections of mouse brains could be taken home after the workshop, much to the delight of the participants.

Many thanks for a great event to the participants of the workshop and its speakers, to our visitors and the entire Histologica team.

Impressions of the trade fair can be found here and in the After Show Report.
