Tradition and motivation: How we have been moving the world for over six decades
In the 1950s, the world was particularly on the move. This also applied to Kenneth Slee, who founded the company during this time with his vision of unique high-precision devices. In 1954, he developed together with the pathologist Prof. Pearse the world’s first cryostat microtome – a milestone for Slee and the entire histopathology.
With the relocation to Mainz in 1963, Slee’s unique story of success started off in Germany. Slee has been a manufacturer of precision technology in the field of histopathology for almost 70 years, and for six decades, the Slee brand has stood for high-quality medical products “Made in Germany”.

Kenneth Slee and Prof. Anthony Pearse develop the first freezing microtome

Slee Mainz is founded and takes over the business field “Medical Technology”

Complete relocation of Slee to Mainz, Germany

Beginning to build up the worldwide distribution network (on all continents)
2004
The next step follows – on January 1st, SLEE medical GmbH is founded

The excellent quality is now also confirmed with ISO 13485 approval

Launch into the next dimension of precision technology – with the new Slee company headquarters in Nieder-Olm

Milestone for the future
We know our responsibility. Day by day we strive to be the change in the world and to improve the Slee brand, the company and our products. We have laid the foundation for the next decades with our new company headquarters in Nieder-Olm, a naturally CO2 neutral building with state-of-the-art facilities.
From here, we want to continue to move and improve the world of histopathology with all our employees.
