Ute Neubacher, Ruhr University Bochum, offered a workshop, together with Heiko Drzonek and Matthias Trilling from Slee, titled „A new look at frozen sectioning!“ As application opened it was booked out immediately. The topic was really fascinating: Mouse brains were frozen on the MTR quick-freezing unit and then cut with the Slee Cuttec S sliding microtome. Especially when it comes to delicate tissues like brain full of neurons, the Slidetec S scores. The delighted participants were able to freeze and cut themselves. All of them gladly took a sample of the sectioning home!
